PEMBROKE, Bermuda, June 24, 2013 — PartnerRe Ltd. (NYSE: PRE) today announced that Greg Haft has been appointed Head of Catastrophe, Bermuda. Based in Bermuda, and reporting to Brian Secrett, Head of Catastrophe Reinsurance, Mr. Haft will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bermuda catastrophe team with a focus on client and broker relationships in North America.
Mr. Haft joins PartnerRe from Markel Corporation (formerly Alterra Bermuda Limited), where he most recently held the position of Managing Director, Head of U.S. Property Catastrophe Underwriting. He brings with him over 18 years of industry experience. Mr. Haft holds a B.S. Mathematics and Statistics, is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Certified Cat Risk Analyst.
