Catastrophe Portfolio Modeling: A Complete View of Risk
Having a good grip on catastrophe risk accumulation – a complete view of risk - is essential to all in the business of assuming property risk. This publication describes the structure and modeling methodologies of the PartnerRe CatFocus® portfolio model, the central tool deployed by PartnerRe to measure property risk accumulation across catastrophe perils and geographies. Combining data from multiple sources, namely catastrophe models and pricing estimates from actuarial sources, the model provides an exceptionally complete view of risk and is an integral part of our planning and pricing processes.
