Reinsurance Operations

PartnerRe’s worldwide operations are structured to meet the demands of our customers across a broad spectrum of markets, business lines and products.

Our presence in 13 locations across the world, including offices in Bermuda, Greenwich, Paris, Zurich, Toronto, Latin America, Dublin, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul, means that we can underwrite risk wherever we are most accessible to our cedants and brokers.

At PartnerRe, we offer reinsurance in all major property and casualty business lines. Risks reinsured include: property, casualty, motor, agriculture, marine, aviation/space, catastrophe, credit/surety, energy, engineering, special risks, life/annuity and health.

We enjoy a good balance between the U.S. and non-U.S. reinsurance markets. On a worldwide basis, we write business through brokers (about 60%) and on a direct basis (approximately 40%). In the U.S., we are a broker market only. We are equally effective in mature and emerging markets, as we recognize that today's emerging markets will be our next-generation mature markets.
