PEMBROKE, Bermuda — PartnerRe today announced an update to PartnerResearch, its award-winning, free iPad® application.
This most recent update adds 2014/2015 storm data within the App which now includes over 4,500 individual windstorms across six regions: Australia, Central Pacific, Easte Pacific, North West Pacific, North Atlantic and Europe. The App makes it possible to recall the path, extent and intensity of windstorms for some regions as far back as 1900, including those storms that occurred in 2014 and early 2015.
Notable storms in this update include Extra Tropical Storm Niklas in Central Europe with wind gusts of up to 150 kmph, Hurricane Gonzalo, making landfall with category two wind speeds in Bermuda, Typhoon Rammasun with multiple landfalls in Asia and category three-four wind speeds as well as Hurricane Odile, with landfall in western Mexico at category three wind speeds.
Originally launched in September 2013, the PartnerResearch App was developed to offer business partners and risk managers free and direct access to a layer of the proprietary modeling systems compiled by PartnerRe’s dedicated Research team.
