Head of France, Benelux, Iberia, Italy, Greece, Cyprus based in Paris


Manage and develop a profitable Property & Casualty treaty portfolio in Italy, Greece and Cyprus.


Position can be based in Zurich or Paris and extended to other Underwriting responsibilites for other European territories.

Being part of our P&C Western & Southern European Underwriting Team you will be responsible for:

  • Underwriting, developing and maintaining a technically sound and profitable Property & Casualty Treaty portfolio for Italy, Greece and Cyprus; the portfolio includes Property, Casualty and Motor Treaty Business
  • Monitoring the results and developments for the allocated portfolio / markets
  • Pricing and quoting of the treaty programs in coordination with the Pricing Actuaries
  • Managing the client and broker relationships for allocated markets
  • Coordinating, promoting and monitoring of market activities; and represent PartnerRe at market events
  • Analyse and report market trends, economic and legal developments and assess their impact on your markets
  • Collaborating with other departments and functions, namely Global Account Executives, Claims, Reserving and Technical Accounting
  • Taking active part in reporting and in qualitative and quantitative planning
  • Preparation of annual market strategy
  • Contribution to management information requests


  • This role requires +6 years of profound experience in reinsurance underwriting and pricing of Property, Casualty and Motor Treaty Business primarily in the Italian market; any additional market experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, marketing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluency in Italian and English (in writing and verbal) is a must, other European languages are a plus
  • Strong team player with ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
  • Self-motivated working style with a solution orientation, and able to produce results on-time and under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • High readiness to travel
  • University degree either in Economics or a quanitative subject
